12-year-old kid teaches me copywriting

Got an interesting DM yesterday…

"Your copy needs work. I can help."

I’m always open to criticism…

Then I see his profile pic…

Is that a 12-year-old kid taking a selfie with an iPhone 7?

(No hate on the iPhone 7. That thing was built like a Nokia)

But hey, don't judge a book by its cover, right?

His profile was what you'd expect...

Canva templates asking "What is copywriting?"

ChatGPT definitions plastered everywhere.

Generic quotes about "making 6-figures."

But he claimed to be "trained by the best in the industry."

Interesting…

So I bit.

"Who trained you?"

His response?

"Dylan Madden and Andrew Bass."

(If you just went "who?" - exactly.)

Apparently, they're "multimillionaire professors" hand-picked by Andrew Tate.

You know, from that $49/mo course that will apparently make you rich…

The kid even dropped his affiliate link.

(Gotta get that sweet $5 commission.)

But this is where it gets sad...

This kid should be playing Fortnite with friends…

Stressing about math homework…

Having awkward first crushes...

Being, you know... a kid.

Instead, he's in DMs trying to teach grown adults about business.

All because some guy in a Bugatti promised him riches.

Told him school was for losers.

That he could move to Dubai by age 13.

Drive Lambos by 14.

Here's the reality check...

Most successful entrepreneurs I know?

They were normal kids first.

They went to school…

Had part-time jobs…

Made dumb mistakes…

Learned real skills…

Figured out who they were.

None of them were hustling in DMs at 12.

Look, I get it.

These gurus are smart.

They prey on kids who want to help their parents…

Families struggling with bills...

Dreams of a better life…

But selling a 12-year-old a "business opportunity"?

That's not entrepreneurship.

That's exploitation.

To that kid in my DMs…

If you're reading this...

It's okay to be young.

It's okay to not have it all figured out.

Enjoy your teenage years.

They don't come back.

The business world isn't going anywhere.

Dubai isn't running out of space.

And those Lambos?

They'll still be there when you're ready.

(They might even be electric by then.)

To letting kids be kids,

- Callan
