Choosing the Right Copywriting Niche (It’s Not Just About the $$$)

Let’s talk about copywriting niches—because I see a lot of new copywriters making the same mistake.

They pick a niche based purely on how much money they think they can make.

Finance, health, SaaS, crypto…

These industries are high-paying, sure.

But unless you already have experience, knowledge, or a genuine interest in these topics, breaking in can be tough.

Think about it—big-money niches attract hundreds, if not thousands, of other writers who are also trying to cash in.

Many of them are sending out cold pitches left and right, hoping to land high-paying gigs with no real expertise in the field.

Clients in these industries?

They can spot that from a mile away.

So instead of chasing the biggest paychecks right out of the gate, choose a niche that:

✅ You’re already knowledgeable about

✅ You have a personal interest in

✅ You’re excited to learn more about

When you enjoy what you write about, your passion and expertise shine through. You’ll write better copy, attract better clients, and build a solid reputation.

Then, once you’ve gained some experience, built strong client relationships, and stacked up positive testimonials—you may be able to take a crack at those highly competitive, high-paying niches.

But first, build your foundation in a space where you can actually stand out.

Quality and expertise win over quick money grabs every time.

Talk soon,

Callan
